What is the purpose of Middle School Sports?

Create a feeder program for Madison High School sports as well as create an opportunity for students to play on the same team and create chemistry if they happen to play for different club teams.

1) is there communication between MJS coaches and high school coaches?
|
Yes, All high school coaches are in communication with the coaches at the Junior School which allows for the athletes to be exposed to their philosophy and expectations earlier.

2) Why have this registration process?
|
We use the same registration process as Madison High School which will allow a smooth transition when your child is entering 9th grade.
|
3) Why have deadlines?
|
All physicals have to be sent to the district physician for your child to be cleared to participate. We want to be respectful to their schedules.

4) What if my child's physical appointment is after the registration period?
|
You should still begin the registration process. Reach out to Mr. Vasquez to let him know. You can also upload a blank paper to finish the registration process and can upload the document when you receive it from your doctor.

5) What is the time commitment?
|
Three days a week and NO weekends. Practices are about an 1.5hr - 2hr with games being from and 1hr to 2hr depending on the sport.

6) Is it free to play?
|
We are still pay to play. There is a $250 fee to play a sport. If you child is in need of financial assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

7) Is there bussing?
|
We are carpooling to all games and events. Bussing has been an issue for all levels including at the high school.

8) Where can my child store his equipement?
|
They can store their equipment in their lockers or in the gym supply closet.
